Metal Mama

Metal, meet motherhood; motherhood meet metal. This is where my two loves meet & become one world.

Sick Kids and Preparing for Irene

So both my little ones are sick. Which sucks.

I've been on Facebook this morning and I have to ex out of the stupidity. It's, well raunchy, what some people considered "stocking up just in case". This is not myself, but a post I saw, and mind you this is for a family of four, possibly five if daddy decides to be in the picture:

"aaaaaah I will be all alone, me and my chicklings soooo if any1 wants to cum over so we can freek out together that would be good, Iam all stocked up on smokes, beer, and poptarts and yes and my buddy xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx brought me 2 jugs of water."

You can up on smokes and beer in the even of damaging weather conditions is acceptable. I hope that in the event or the worst case scenario that you enjoy your cigarettes and beer while all those kids have is water and pop tarts.

I know we have 4 gallons of water, plus individual bottles, we have so many canned items it's a little crazy, but I stock up anyways, just about every month. We've got diapers, wipes, formula, a few candles, flashlight, blankets, juice, those small cartons of milk that you do not have to refrigerate. Oh, and the family that lives down stairs has the basement ready and accessible. Some people are just stupid, and they are right, you really cannot fix stupid.
